| A mind trip to the atoll reef | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

I woke up to a world of blue. The serene sky and the tranquil sea stretched out until they met at the extremity. Light winds brought me the unique smell of the sea. Waves were playing a harmonious melody over the dead atoll reef where the water raised only to my knees. Under the fierce sun, irresistible chilly water from the sea tempted me to fall into its embrace. I swam slackly as it sooth my sizzling body. The waves were like cradles, carrying me up and down. I let the icy, chilly water refresh my overheated face. Under the water loneliness was the scene. For miles it stretched, the dull and motionless seabed is accompanied by dreary seaweed. Trace of dead carols and abandoned caves, both dull in colour with peculiar shapes seemed to be telling their old fairytales. I cruised aimlessly, stepping on cool, slippery rocks, enjoying the warm sun above my head and the icy water below my feet and admiring the crispy sound of the waves. I looked around as I walked, searching for anything, but all I saw was blue and blue. The Creamy blue of the sky and the shiny blue of the sea. As I walked along, the water got deeper and deeper until it reached my hips. The wind howled for the loneliness of the reef. Carried away by this peacefulness and placidity I was disturbed by two uninvited guests. They had a bullet-shaped body, strong tails and sharp fins. Their eyes were sparkling with passion. Their shiny, pointy fins were sawing through the water swiftly. Spray blown at my face was their hail. They danced around me. With their ardent eyes, they invited me to go far out and deep down, to somewhere concealed and mysterious in the sea. But I let them down. I��d rather lie in the tender bed of the ocean, the cosy quilt of the sun and let the waves sing the sweet lullaby to me. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
